Terms & Conditions – Sunday Best Safaris

Welcome to Sunday Best Safaris. These Terms & Conditions govern all bookings, payments, and travel arrangements made through our company. By booking a safari, tour, or related service with us, you agree to be bound by these terms. Please read them carefully before confirming your reservation.

Our Kenya Safari Terms & Conditions included:

1. Company Information

Sunday Best Safaris is a registered tour operator in Kenya, specializing in custom safari packages, excursions, and beach holidays. All tours are operated in accordance with Kenyan tourism laws and regulations.

2. Booking & Confirmation

All bookings must be made in writing via our website or email.

A booking is confirmed only when we have received a deposit payment and issued a formal Booking Confirmation.

By confirming your booking, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and accepted these Terms & Conditions.

3. Payments

Deposit: A deposit of 40% of the total tour cost is required at the time of booking.

Balance Payment: The remaining balance is due at least 45 days before the start date of your safari.

Late Bookings: For bookings made less than 45 days before travel, full payment is required immediately.

We currently accept bank transfers, solid cash ( in foreign currency ) and mobile money (M-Pesa).

4. Cancellations & Refund Policy

Cancellation must be communicated in writing and is effective from the date we receive it.

40–59 days before trip 20% of the total cost of trip
14–39 days before trip 40% of the total cost of trip
Less than 13 days before trip 50% of the total cost of trip
No-Show 100% of the total tour cost

5. Amendments

Date changes are subject to availability and may incur additional costs.

Changes requested less than 30 days before departure will be treated as a cancellation and rebooking.

6. Travel Documents & Requirements

It is the traveler’s responsibility to ensure they have a valid passport, necessary visas, vaccinations, and travel insurance.

Sunday Best Safaris will provide guidance but cannot be held responsible for any travel disruptions caused by incomplete documentation.

7. Entry Formalities

Passport must be valid for at least six months from the date of entry into Kenya.

Visa is required for most nationalities and can be obtained online (Free visa for children under 16 yrs in Kenya).

8. Insurance

We strongly recommend that all travelers take out comprehensive travel insurance covering medical emergencies, trip cancellations, personal liability, and loss of belongings.

9. Prices & Inclusions

Prices are quoted in EURO(€) unless otherwise stated and are subject to change due to currency fluctuations, park fee changes, and supplier price adjustments.

The price include:

  • WiFi in the safari vehicle
  • 4x4 Toyota minibus with a pop-up roof or safari Jeep
  • Experienced driver-guide
  • All park fees
  • Full-board accommodation in lodges and camps
  • Fresh bottled water or a water dispenser fitted in the vehicle during game drives.

Note : RATES ARE DEPENDABLE ON SEASON

  • Low season : (March 16 - June 30)
  • Mid season : (January 2 - March 15 & November 1 - December 20)
  • High season : (July 1 - October 30 & December 21 - January 3)

SUPPLEMENTS AND ACTIVITIES

  • Safari using 4x4 (Jeep) instead of safari van with pop up roof: €60 per day.
  • Hot air ballon safari at €399 per person.
  • Horse riding in Lake Naivasha at €40 per person.
  • Visit Maasai or Samburu village at €20 per person.

FAMILY RATES

children under the age of 12 years shall benefit a 25% discount of the adult rate.

TIP

Tipping is a local custom, an integral part of travel and a motivator for your experienced guide.

The minimum fair amount is at least USD 10 per person per day. If you are in a group, you may twist with the numbers. Euro and even local currency(shillings) are also accepted.

10. Exclusions

Unless specified otherwise, prices do not include:

  • International flights
  • Drinks during meals
  • Personal expenses
  • Tips for your driver/guide
  • Hot air balloon safaris
  • Visits to local Maasai or Samburu villages

11. Wildlife & Safety

While we make every effort to maximize wildlife sightings, nature is unpredictable and sightings cannot be guaranteed.

Guests must follow the safety instructions of our guides at all times.

Sunday Best Safaris is not liable for injuries resulting from failure to comply with safety instructions.

12. Complaints

Any complaint should be made immediately to your guide or our office during your trip so we can address the issue promptly.

13. Health

Incase you have any health issues, kindly check-up with your doctor and bring with you any necessary prescriptions or medications.

VACCINATION

In Kenya, no vaccinations are mandatory but you should be up to date with childhood vaccinations for polio, hepatitis A, tetanus, yellow fever and typhoid.

Note : In Tanzania, yellow fever vaccination is a MUST for all travelers. In general, it is recommended to have a yellow fever vaccination by the WHO.
