This 6-day Tanzania–Kenya safari itinerary starts in Arusha and takes you through iconic wildlife destinations—Tarangire, Lake Manyara, Ngorongoro Crater, Amboseli, and finally ends in Nairobi. Experience elephants under baobab trees, tree-climbing lions, the world-famous Ngorongoro Crater, and breathtaking views of Mount Kilimanjaro in Amboseli before concluding your cross-border safari adventure in Kenya’s capital.
Pick-up from Arusha hotel or Kilimanjaro Airport (8:00 AM). Scenic drive south to Tarangire National Park, known for its massive baobab trees, large elephant herds, and predators.
Afternoon game drive (3:00 PM – 6:00 PM).
Overnight: Simba Lodge, Sangaiwe Tented Camp, or Tarangire Safari Lodge.
After breakfast, depart around 8:30 AM for Lake Manyara National Park.
Enjoy a full-day game drive with picnic lunch. Spot tree-climbing lions, hippos, flamingos, and abundant birdlife in the groundwater forest. Late afternoon transfer to nearby lodge in Karatu for dinner.
Overnight: Manyara Serena Lodge, Escarpment Luxury Lodge, or Marera Valley Lodge.
Early breakfast and depart by 7:00 AM to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area.
Descend into the Ngorongoro Crater (~600m deep) for a full-day game drive with picnic lunch by the hippo pool. Excellent chances to spot black rhinos, lions, elephants, buffalos, and flamingos.
In the afternoon, ascend and drive back to Karatu. Optional cultural visit to a local village.
Overnight: Ngorongoro Serena Lodge, Rhino Lodge, or Country Lodge Karatu.

Early departure around 6:30 AM with packed breakfast. Drive via Mto wa Mbu and Longido to Namanga border (4 hrs). Complete border formalities and switch to Kenyan guide/vehicle (1 hr).
Proceed to Amboseli National Park, arriving in time for a late lunch or afternoon game drive. Spot elephants with Mount Kilimanjaro as a stunning backdrop.
Overnight: Amboseli Serena Safari Lodge, Kibo Safari Camp, or AA Lodge.
After breakfast, enjoy a full-day safari exploring Amboseli’s swamps, dry lakebed, and grasslands. High chances of seeing large elephant herds, cheetahs, buffaloes, giraffes, and a variety of birdlife.
Visit Observation Hill for sweeping views of the plains and Kilimanjaro (weather permitting).
Overnight: Same as previous night.
Optional early morning game drive followed by breakfast.
Depart for Nairobi via Emali and Mombasa Road around 9:00 AM. Optional stop for souvenirs or lunch en route. Arrive in Nairobi by 2:00–3:00 PM depending on traffic.
Drop-off at your hotel or Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA).
