Sheldrick Falls – A Must-Visit Experience
One of the reserve’s best attractions is Sheldrick Falls, a spectacular 25-meter waterfall hidden deep within the forest. Reaching the falls requires a 2 km guided nature walk—an exciting trek that rewards adventurers with a cool, refreshing atmosphere and stunning natural scenery.
Unique Wildlife and Rare Species
While Shimba Hills may not be as wildlife-heavy as the larger savannah parks, it stands out for its rare and endangered species, including:
1. The Endangered Sable Antelope
Shimba Hills is home to one of the last breeding populations of sable antelopes in Kenya. These striking antelopes with long, curved horns are a major highlight of any visit.
